Tangela (Tangie) Scales Tangie Scales, Ed.D., was appointed principal at William B. Wade Elementary School in 2025. She previously served as the Principal of Gale-Bailey Elementary School since 2019 and was an Assistant Principal in Charles County for seven years. She also serves as an Educational Equity Task Force Member, Community Engagement and Equity Liaison and Implicit Bias Facilitator. Hailing from Cleveland, Scales began her teaching career in the same city. She has a doctorate in Education Leadership and Policy from the University of Maryland and is a Speaker and Coach. As Wade’s principal, Scales focuses on building community relationships, encouraging a growth mindset, social-emotional learning that focuses on the whole child, ensuring equity and upholding high educational expectations for all. She is a 2024 Maryland Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP) Connected School Leader Award winner. |

Michael Enrico Michael Enrico was named assistant principal at William B. Wade Elementary School in 2025. Prior to working at Wade, he served as an assistant principal at Matthew Henson Middle School, and a physical education and health teacher at John Hanson Middle School and St. Charles High School. In his free time, he enjoys running, golfing and spending time with friends and family. |

Twanna Taylor Twanna Taylor was named assistant principal at William B. Wade Elementary School in 2025. Prior to her role at Wade, she served as assistant principal at J.P. Ryon and Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer elementary schools, as well as an Aspire teacher at Mary B. Neal Elementary School. In her free time, Ms. Taylor enjoys volunteering in disadvantaged communities and cherishing moments with friends and family. |
