Maryland SUN Bucks program is available this summer. The program, overseen by the Maryland Department of Human Services, helps families with school-age children who receive free or reduced-price meals buy groceries during summer break when school meals are not available.
Families that qualify for the Maryland SUN Bucks program will receive $40 for each eligible child in June, July and August to go toward grocery purchases.
Most students are automatically enrolled and do not need to apply. Program letters or a letter of eligibility has been mailed to families.
To learn more, call 800-332-6347 and select the Maryland SUN Bucks option from the recorded menu. Visit https://dhs.maryland.gov/sunbucks/ for more information and to enroll.
